Winter Storm Linus

Well, Winter storm Linus brought with it almost 10 more inches of snow for us.  We woke up to about 6 inches this morning and it snowed all day.  It was so beautiful falling today.  And, we have a great view outside of our RV windows.  The temps continue to drop.  It's 13 degrees right now and it's going to be another very cold night.  But, our heaters are keeping us warm, so we have no complaints. :-)

There's enough snow now that we have a snow "skirt" all the way around the RV.  That should insulate it good!

  1. Stay warm, it looks beautiful. How are you filling your propane tanks? I escaped from Montana to Arizona for the winter.

    1. We are using an extend-a-stay adapter to hook up external 20 lb grille tanks. (See our previous post http://ourrvlife.blogspot.com/2014/09/never-dull-moment.html)
Not the most cost-effective way to do things, but it's working for now.
There is a place not too far away where we can fill up our on board propane tank, but the weather isn't cooperative enough for us to get there at the moment. We are getting more snow right now lol.

  3. Wow! We've stayed in our RV through a few cold snaps, but ours is not a very well-insulated model so we have a difficult time keeping everything warm enough if it stays much below freezing for several days. We're thinking we'll either upgrade to a more well-insulated RV or stick to temperate climates in the winter.

    1. Well, we did add more insulation and we would like to add even more. We know that is helping.
