New safety alarms for our RV

We decided to install new safety alarms for our RV.  Chad thought it would be best to install them near our bedroom.  In our RV, the most likely cause for a fire would be because of the furnace and all of those components are located under the bed and refrigerator.  So, the new alarms are installed just above the refrigerator.  A new smoke detector and a new carbon monoxide alarm.

I did a lot of research before I chose these particular alarms.  It seems that the photoelectric smoke alarm will work best in an area where you will be cooking.  We chose the long life one because many people noticed problems with the others.

We know for sure the smoke detector is working good - it went off this morning when I was making my toast.  Will see how they do.  So far, so good....will keep y'all posted.

  1. That is such a good idea. It has been a few decades since we had an RV, but even in the 1970s, we had trouble with break ins. Crime has always existed and it is just best to be vigilant. I mean the likelihood that you would actually be hurt by someone is so incredibly low. It is more burglary.
